I9 Information for Employers
As you are aware, as business owners in Arizona, it is necessary for every new empoyee to complete a document known as an I-9. This document is used to enter information, provided by the employee, into the E-Verifciation system (Department of Homeland Security) for approval to work in this state. On this document there is an area to indicate whether or not the new employee is a Citizen of the United States and, if not, the documents that must be provided in order to obtain verification of their status to work in this country. To that end, it is now very important that the I-155 Permanent Resident Cards and the I94 Resident Alien cards are very readable when being sent to TAG Employer Services for verification - the photo on the document is compared to the photo provided by the E-Verify System.
